We Would Love to Hear From You
Gen Seven wines are fun every day wines that can make any family meal a little more special. Life is so busy these days that dinner time is one of those rare occasions when families can sit around the same table and spend a little time together, and share a few stories. Isn’t that the best part? We would love to hear yours. In fact, every month we will pick our favourite story and send the author a little surprise. It may be a Gen Seven t-shirt, or a tour and tasting pass or something else we think of. But you won’t know until you tell us your story. You are welcome to write more than one.
To get things going we are going to give away two all access passes to the Planet in Focus film festival in Toronto. Gen Seven is the official wine of this educational and inspiring festival. The passes allow you to attend all film screenings including the opening and closing films (industry workshops are not included). We will be pouring Generation Seven White and Red at the opening gala on Wednesday October 13th, the industry reception on October 15th and the closing gala on September 17th. We hope to see you there. www.planetinfocus.org
To win the passes simply add your family stories below. At noon on October 12th we will randomly draw two names from all the story submissions. The more entries you add, the higher your chances of winning!

We made a concerted effort this summer to get back to having family dinners again. With all the work and long commuting, it’s like we’d become separated from the time families need to sit together and simply communicate with one another.
In all honesty, It was really hard work for the first little while, getting everyones schedules to align, but in the end that extra effort was worth it. Being a family means creating the time for one another. We’re feeling better on the whole, and more connected.
And we’re gonna continue our family dinners into the fall.
I’m really looking forward to the new wines, and I hope Niagara on the Lake is as beautiful as I remember!

Hello,
My name is Anneke, and I am the seventh generation of that Dutch name. Incidentally I was also born on the seventh of July 1979. So seven is a big number for me.
My mother was trying find the perfect table wine to have at my wedding on October 3, 2010 and she came across yours in the LCBO and insisted I try it. So I dutifully tried your red out last night and was blown away. Not only is it ethically produced (very important to me), tastes amazing, it’s also Canadian. So this is to let you know that we will be proudly serving your wine on one of the most important days (and meals) of my life. Hey us sevens have to stick together ya know!
Thanks!

I am a 21 year old nursing student. In addition to living and breathing my studies, I am trying to find additional interests to fuel my passion for life. Within the past year, I have started to enjoy wines both red and white. While I was searching for a perfect Saturday night red, your label caught my eye.
I have seen VQA on many labels before, never understanding what it meant. It was when I purchased your red that I went home to find out. In addition to developing an understanding of VQA, I decided to visit your wine’s site as well. What passion your family holds. It is truly inspiring that you think both seven generations in the past and into the future. Sustainability is something every individual should consider in their everyday decisions.
My relaxing Saturday night consisting of dinner and my pathophysiology text has not yet begun. I am looking forward to it.
My mom and I have been planning a family dinner to take place next weekend. We haven’t decided on the meal yet and will probobly rely on whatever we are craving throughout the weak. I plan on bringing your white wine and I will keep you posted on the memories we make!
