Winegrowing Discovery Tour
Learn what it means to grow wine “Bosc Family Style” through a guided tour of our facility. You will start
in our award-winning St. David’s Bench Vineyard in the shadow of the Niagara Escarpment, a UNESCO World Biosphere
Reserve to see first hand the benefits of sustainable agriculture. Next it’s on to our Harvest Room,
underground geothermal cellars (note: you will be walking up and down a flight of stairs)
and the bottling line. Of course the tour would not be complete without sampling the finished product! One of our Wine Associates
will take you through a guided tasting of three VQA wines from our Estate Bottled and Single Vineyard Series.
Experience our Winegrowing Discovery Tours everyday (except New Year Day, Good Friday, Easter Sunday, Christmas Day and Boxing Day) at 11:00 a.m. and 3:00 p.m. in English, 12:00 (noon) in
French and 11:15 am in Japanese.

So you have been on a winery tour before but would still like a structured tasting … we have the perfect experience! Join us for and exploration of flavour and texture as you sip, slurp and roll your way through three single-vineyard Château des Charmes wines paired with three Canadian artisanal cheeses. What’s your favourite match?
Join our Matchmaking 1.0 seminar at 1:30pm in French and 4:00pm in English every Monday, Wednesday and Sunday only.

Public tours are offered on a first come, first serve basis and are limited to a maximum of 30 guests. We recommend that guests arrive 15 minutes prior to the start of the tour during the peak visitor season (May through October).
Château des Charmes is pleased to offer comprehensive and enjoyable private tour programs that explore the art of winegrowing from vine to glass. All tours are available in English, French, Spanish, Russian, Mandarin, and Japanese. Other languages may also be available, please ask when booking your group.
Winegrowing 101
This guided walking tour begins our award-winning St. David’s Bench Vineyard in the shadow of the Niagara Escarpment, a UNESCO World Biosphere Reserve, to learn about winegrowing “Bosc Family-style” and see first-hand the benefits of sustainable agriculture. Next we move into our Harvest Room, geothermal underground barrel cellars and finally the bottling line. Tours are completed with an educational and private tasting of four VQA wines from our Estate Bottled and Single Vineyard series including our renowned Icewine.

What’s in a glass?
Great wines taste delicious when sampled from any vessel. But in the right glass, they shine. Following your comprehensive winery tour, slurp, smell and swish with Schott-Zwiesel crystal and Château des Charmes wines. Learn how the shape of a glass can change how a wine can smell and taste. Experiment with three single-vineyard Château des Charmes wines, including Icewine, to find your favourite stem. Finally, discover how decanting wine subtly changes its flavour and softens the tannins then compare your sample of decanted wine with one right from the bottle!

The Perfect Pair
Wine and cheese are natural partners; both are true expressions of where they are from. This is the essence of terroir. Following a comprehensive winery tour, you will be guided through a selection of Canadian artisanal cheeses paired with four single-vineyard Château des Charmes wines including an Icewine. But don’t take our word for it, mix and match the pairings and find your perfect match!

These programs run approximately 50 minutes and are booked every day at 10am, 1pm, 2pm or 4pm, subject to availability. All bookings must be guaranteed with a credit card.

Wine Country Romance
When you arrive in the foyer of the Château, you will be greeted by your personal guide with a glass of Brut sparkling wine. Then you will be taken on a private guided tour of our St. David’s Bench Vineyard (weather permitting), crush room, underground barrel cellars and bottling line. After the tour you will be able to sit back and relax in our stylish Paul Bosc Lounge for an educational tasting of four of our premium VQA wines, including Icewine, served in Schott Zwiesel crystal stemware. Canadian artisan cheese with all the accoutrements will also be served so you can slurp, roll and chew your way to finding the perfect match.
$75 per couple. Taxes included.

Picnic Made For Two
Rekindle a romance or spark a new one with this private picnic for two. Your gourmet picnic basket is freshly prepared by local favourite The Pie Plate and includes a choice of fresh sandwich, a side salad, a decadent sweet treat, a bottle of water, and of course a bottle of Château des Charmes wine (white or red) to enjoy at your leisure as you take in the incredible scenery . But that’s not all! To conclude your romantic rendezvous you will be taken on a private tour of the winery. Your vineyard table awaits!
$110 per couple. Taxes included. Reservation required.
Only one reservation per day at 12 noon. Weekends from May through September an additional reservation will be taken at 1pm, subject to availability. Full payment is required at the time of reservation and it is non-refundable. Visa, American Express, and MasterCard accepted.

Terms & Conditions
- The age of majority in the province of Ontario is 19 years. Alcohol consumption on Château des Charmes’ premises is limited exclusively to those who have reached the age of majority or older. Chateau des Charmes reserves the right to request proof of age documentation of any of its guests.
- All private and group tour bookings are subject to availability.
- To guarantee your reservation, credit card information will be requested and will be placed on the file. Payment is due upon arrival and can be paid by any major credit card or cash. Wine Country Luncheon, Wine Country Romance and Picnic Made for Two must be pre-paid at the time of reservation and is non-refundable.
- Final number of guests must be confirmed at least two business days prior to the actual date of the program. Your charges will be based on this number given or the number of guests in attendance, whichever is greater.
- Groups larger than 30 guests may be divided.
- Cancellation policy will be outlined in your booking confirmation and depends on the program chosen.
- Please advise us of any food allergies or dietary restrictions if you book a program with a food component.
